The wondrous Jojoba oil and tips on how to use it...

I've been meaning to write about this product for ageless but have not got round to it, partly because my computer is so old that every letter I type appears five days later! (well, not quite that long but you get what I mean) Now, I am not a sales rep for this product (although, I should be!) I'm just simply sharing what works for me.

I have been using #jojoba oil for as long as I can remember. As a #makeup artist I quite often get asked about skin care routines and skin care in general. This is honestly one of the best multipurpose products I have used. Whether you have dry skin like me or problematic acne prone skin it can work for almost anyone. The vitamin E, anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties within, mean it is great for all skin types.

I try to keep my skin care as natural and simple as possible. For this reason I don't cleanse or tone as I don’t feel my skin needs it (remember these are just my opinions and everyone’s skin is different, so if you do cleanse and tone and it works for you keep doing it) I just use good old fashioned soap and water, normally a facial wash for sensitive skin.  I drink ALOT of water and use SPF 50 every day. The cold weather can dry out skin so if it's particularly cold I will mix a few drops with my #SPF50 and also with my night cream.

For this oil to be effective and to make sure you’re getting just the good stuff, it needs to be 100% #organic cold pressed jojoba oil. There's soooo many out there to try, oh and did I mention I used it to grow back my brows? Yes, hands up, I used to be one of those people who thought it was attractive to pluck all their brows out and draw a replacement line (oh the shame). That phase quickly passed and I used jojoba oil to grow them back, luckily I have a fringe so I could cover up the big mess!

Below I have listed a few more benefits and ways of using jojoba oil

  • as a hair mask or overnight conditioning treatment
  • for cuticles and nail plates especially after gels or acrylics
  • as a body moisturiser or mixed with your moisturiser
  • as a lip balm
  • as a makeup remover, great for removing waterproof makeup
  • as an eyelashes conditioner
  • it also makes a great after sun treatment

Why not just bathe in it?! Quicker but more expensive way to reap the benefits!

So there you go, It’s my ultimate #beauty #hack. I really do think it is a wonder oil, but that's just my opinion!

If you have any questions feel free to contact me or if there is a topic you would like me to discuss just let me know! I hope you've had a happy read.
